Belarusian IT Market

Analysts expect the greatest growth of PC use in the next five years in China, India, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. According to Dataquest, the Belarusian ICT market is ranked among the ten largest in Eastern Europe, Belarus' share being about 2%, Ukraine's 4% and Russia's 26%. On–line media and Internet development in Belarus is impressive with regard to its scale and speed. The first web site in the BY domain appeared just 11 years ago, and now we experience a real boom. The World Bank research (ICT Infrastructure and E–Readiness Assessments in the Republic of Belarus) revealed that over 1,150,000 Belarusians (15% of the adult population) have real Internet experience. Internet use among the Belarusian elite is spread even wider, almost six times more than among the general public. There are at least 775,000 PCs operated in Belarus. A total of 57,272 computers have direct connection to the Internet (7.39% of total computers).

Representatives of Western ICT companies believe that the Belarusian market is quite promising and develops dynamically. Analysts and computer company representatives note the general trends of growth and increasing market activity in the field of ICT, an expanding number of Internet users, and number of home PCs.

Nowadays, the local ICT market is ready to solve any problem associated with software development and management to meet international standards and specific needs of a particular industry.
