IBA at Global Sourcing Summit

From November 7 to November 9, IBA sponsored and participated in the invitation–only Gartner Global Sourcing Summit that was held in Bonita Springs, FL. Organized by Vision Events®, a Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) company, the summit brought together 150 IT and business executives from Fortune 1000 companies, leading service providers, Gartner analysts, and other industry experts.

The Global Sourcing Summit opened with a keynote address by Dr. Michael Treacy, the market strategist and best selling author, who presented his prediction for the future in the marketplace and shared his personal experiences of global outsourcing, including offshoring to Russia and Eastern Europe. The program of the Summit also included Gartner insight sessions, vendor case study presentations, round table discussions, one–on–one meetings, and networking events.

On behalf of IBA, Valentin Kazan, IBA Deputy Director General, delivered a case study presentation entitled “Outsourcing to Eastern Europe: IBA Perspective”. The discussions stimulated by the presentation continued at the IBA exhibition booth and Summit networking events. IBA had more than 25 meetings with executives of leading US companies working in a variety of industries, including banking and finance. A number of Fortune 1000 companies showed their interest in IBA services and expressed their willingness to consider our company for major software outsourcing projects.

The IBA's sponsorship of the Summit and proactive participation in the event resulted in new valuable contacts with leading US business executives and industry gurus. For IBA, Gartner Global Sourcing Summit was another step in gaining recognition in the lucrative US market.
